J.P. has a sense of compassion and dedication that really resonates with his clients. He truly takes their personal struggles to heart, and often builds lasting relationships with those he represents. He often says that people come to the firm as “clients” and leave as “friends.”
Early in his career, J.P. developed a passion for representing individuals and family members who had been affected by severe personal injuries and wrongful death. “Many of my clients have suffered catastrophic, life-altering injuries, and many times death. There is no greater work than coming alongside them to fight to help them regain their lives”, he says.
J.P. is particularly passionate about representing those that have been abused or neglected by nursing homes that were entrusted to care for them. J.P.’s commitment to fighting for some of society’s most vulnerable members remains unwavering despite laws governing nursing home litigation becoming increasingly complex and difficult to navigate.
He was co-lead counsel in a landmark case for “resident’s rights” that resulted in a $4.75 million settlement against a major nursing home chain. J.P. has been named one of the Top 10 Nursing Home Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association and a Super Lawyer in the field of Medical Malpractice.
Outside of work, J.P. continues his passion for helping others through his involvement with Common Ground Montgomery and Forgotten Children’s Ministry in Honduras. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Keely and their three children.
